Hi Per,

That's what it says. This is the source: http://www.indianembassy.nl/INSBEAS.doc

Plus I called with the Indian embassy to check if the information in this document is still valid. They expect photography will be allowed, but this is up to the captain. Neither did they know if the helo can be seen by the public.

So see you tomorrow. (It is a long drive for you, but they made quite a journey to see us as well ;-))

Groeten,
Eric

Hi Eric, this should do:

Holland Amerikakade, Rotterdam Port at Haven no. 1245

Rotterdam - Holland - Amerikakade

Per auto
Vanuit Dordrecht/Antwerpen

Vanuit Amsterdam/Den Haag

As Rob already explained: nope! It is parked inside the left hand side hangar. The hangar is very very narrow and the Chetak is wrapped in covers from the nose to the beginning of the tail boom. Unless you have a fish eye and don't mind the large cover, it is impossible...

Today it was still parked inside the left hand hangar, but only the engine was covered. A crew member told they want to make a film/photoflight Friday again while sailing out. Fingers crossed ;-)

Well, the hangar was half open (or half closed if you like). It was much further opened than seen on the picture made by Peter (username PH-HEE). From shore the helicopter is almost not visible, and I expect they close the hangar when they have no visitors onboard.

However, the crew was very friendly, so I suppose that if you ask polite you can come on board and they will show it to you. Just like Rob described.

Good luck!

Hmm, can't see it anymore on the webcam. Could someone confirm the ship has left earlier than planned?
