Nice log Cris.
Were these noted from Coronado Beach and/or the harbour tour, or did you have a visit?
Cheers,
164649/114 was noted too stored at NASA Dryden RFC in the beginning of March, so it somehow found it's way in between to NASNI.Crizz wrote: 164649/- 114 NF/A-18D stored west side airfield
Scramble database has WS-203 as 164734 (l/n 10-07 though!). I'm sure your LOG is correct, but could you pls double check to make sure there's no typo involved? I'm asking this, because we also saw this a/c at NASNI in medio March but were not able to read the BuNo.164724/WS 203 F/A-18C VFMA-323 stored? west side airfield
If this was the one stored at NAD, next to the Midway-collection under storage, it should be 164700/NE-303. The code NE is applied very unreadable!....../- 303 F/A-18C stored west side airfield
According to my last sighting, 162850/NJ-400 should be a F/A-18B. We noted this one at NASNI in its final stage of maintainance/overhaul on March-18th. It wore a two-tone brown c/s.162850/NJ 400 F/A-18C VFA-125 inside hangar
Was noted as 166342 in January 2009, so this is an update. We saw this one also on March-18th, but no BuNo read. Anyone know when the switch took place?166335/SA 12 HM-60S HSC-3

Ok, in that case they must have moved it then to the NADEP-area. Indeed, engine bay covers were gone and it had some damage on the belly. BuNo was extracted from Scrambe database where it's mentioned as w/o and stored NAD at NASNI.Crizz wrote:Hi Sjoerd,The engine bays were gone, so no BUNO could be noted when I walked underneath it, and it was parked on 3 jacks. If this was the one stored at NAD, next to the Midway-collection under storage, it should be 164700/NE-303. It's parked with the other stored Hornet's.
When we noted it, it had no code at all. We did note another a/c that wore the -300 modex, so my guess it's a different one. I'd be gratefull if you could trace it back for for me.Yes, I think it was the /-300 but don't pin point me on this one.Did you also note a F/A-18A/C at the storage on the west side with a large triangular badge on both tails? I'm told is the FRCSW-badge and the Hornet should be on display here soon. Also no BuNo read here by me, and I'm looking for someone to help.
In that case 162410 could be the one, as 163507 is a D-model. Thanks for narrowing it down!Crizz wrote:The only 2 I have in the stored area without codes is BUNO 162410, and 163507
