Can someone confirm (or better... deny!!!) the static display will be held at the runway as stated on some forums on the internet??? If so we might be photographing with backlight as I am correct???

According to http://www.flugzeugforum.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;: "... Das Static soll übrigens auf der Runway stattfinden..."

The confirmation letter I received from PAO JG71 didn't say anything about it... so someone with connections with JG71 please confirm or deny.

The 37+03 will be on display at the so called "Kompensationsplatte", as shown here in the image.... so a nice spot will be available!!!

Several aircraft, including the Hungarian Mig-29 and the Spanish F-18's, performed spectacular low passes. Before touchdown the Eurofighter joined the MiG-29/EF-18's for one last overhead circuit The German Transal arrived performing the famous "Sarajevo" landing. Unfortunately the E-3A was cancelled.

In the large hangar behind the static (with MiG-29UB etc) were 3 A-4N Skyhawks (N262WL in Israeli camo and 2 white ones) and a special c/s F-4F without nosecone. Forgot to write its serial, sorry.

So i guess the two missing A4 should be 431 and 437 (both dismantled inside hangar next to F4 38+49)

near the static, next to the Stearman N1346M in U.S. Navy colours, were also noted:

On the way back to the carpark found shelter behind the T-28 opened temporarely. Inside F-104G 24+85 and BF-109 both with JG71 markings

Furhtermore from outside the base special coloured F-4F 37+11 (black beauty) could be seen on a westerly apron.
