Those were C-17 with serial04-4128 with Tailnumber 44128 and could very well uncommonly id themselfs on radio as 044128Radiomonitor wrote:09.06.06-1608z---with this kind of serial numbers I have only registered two aircraft:

it could be some aircraft especially built or featured for a special service, - for example as the president's accompanying electronic airborne communication centres... or similar... made from a basic aircraft and rebuilt to fit the special service they have to perform...
Even if we fill in the still missing numbers of the same serial number group, it is only a handful of aircraft with this serial group...
same for 04-4129.
You are mixing up Tailnumbers with serial
You work with Tailnumbers, I present them with their Full Serial in my postings.
Different angle, same results!
