Where is this photo taken from?

Post by Jlund »

Off Course I know it's at Schiphol, but it looks like a fantastic place to be spotting.
Just point to the number on your airport spotting places map, please

Sorry to be directing to another aviation page on the net, but I haven't seen this photo on scramble.nl (yet)

Its along taxiway Q. The easiest way is to just follow the red signs from the motorway with UGS-A and it will bring you right to the place where these shot has been made.

Or put Pelicaanweg number 4 in you road navigation.

Or you can plot a route youself bij using google maps:

Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot, it sure helps. I plan on going on a spottingtrip to Schihpol some time in July and is eager to find the best places to go. Polderbaan is off course on the list and also the river crossing, but this one will be put in my tomtom navigator as one of my favorites. It would be nice to meet someone from here that maybe will show me around if possible, but I'll get back to that when the time comes.

Be advised: no parking at the spot. There are lots, but for staff only. Further to the southwest, parking is possible along the Pelikaanweg.
Without a car, get off a bus at stop Uiverweg, this is in direct view of the taxiway bridge.

Is it possible to attach a file to a post? I have found a Poi fil of spotterplaces at Eham, for tomtom that I have converted to a kml which can be used in Google Earth. The problem is that I don't know how many places are still valid as spotting places, so I would like someone to update it.

I don't think so.
Have you checked the file against this map?
http://www.scramble.nl/airports/publish/eham.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Otherwise upload the KML on a site such as megaupload.com or rapidshare.com and post a link to the file in a post.
