Paris - 14 july 2009 - Fly-by

Hi all,

As we all know, 14 july is a National Holiday in France. Every year a big defilé and fly-by is held over the Champs Élysée.
Last year saw also participation of a lot of foreign participants, some of them are also on the list for this year.

And for info, the fly-by trainings will take place at Chateaudun on 30th of june and days following.

Does that mean some a/c will be at Chateaudun for a while, or will they just overfly C.?

I'm in that area on the 30th.

This first training is scheduled for the 30th in the morning (8h-10h) with other options the days following, depending on weather conditions. Last year, all aircraft came to Chateaudun for a similar training, before overflying the Champs-Elysées in real conditions 4 days before the show.
So I don't think the aircraft will stay in Chateaudun.

Any chance the general rehearsel over the Champs d'Elisee could take place in the weekend before the show?

I might wanna have a look up there!

Hi Sjoerd,

The general rehearsal over Champs-Elysees with aircraft and helicopters will take place on the 8th of july at 14h30, with other options for the 9th, 10th or 13th.

Last update about the 30th june rehearsal (all aircraft and helicopters participating) with a slot fm 10h15 to 12h30 (lt).

For the 75th anniversary of Adla, two formations of 1 Rafale + 6 M2000 RDI (7) and 3 Alphajet + 2 MF1CR (5) should open the fly-by after the Patrouille de France over Champs-Elysées.
