Well, we should go into pure speculation then , I guess it's a lack of weekends, and I think they want to make the event accessible for as much people as possible, so spread the venues as much as possible over the whole country. Given the fact the tour will go through the full Ed & Mike treatment at Texel, De Kooy might be considered too close to visit also (maybe someone at the tower can request low-passes during the flights to and from Texel, if it is (wo)manned at that time). Furthermore a few weeks after the tour ends there is an airshow at EHKD. Maybe some items that take part in the tour are booked to appear at this show (not to many participants of this show are made public right now, so again I point out, it is pure speculation). Or maybe some landing mishaps in the past withholds them (DC 2, Fouga).

About Rotterdam.. Really don't know. Maybe the airport said no?

Groningen Airport Eelde maakt zich op voor een speciaal bezoek. Op zondag 12 juli komt er een historisch passagiersvliegtuig, een viermotorige Lockheed Electra uit 1960, vanuit Engeland overvliegen naar Groningen Airport.

Dit historische toestel is op 12 juli te bewonderen tijdens de BankGiro Loterij Airtour van het Nationaal Luchtvaart Themapark Aviodrome.
Het vliegtuig dat nu naar Groningen komt, vloog van 1960 tot 1969 bij KLM als de ‘Neptunus’.
