ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

I was in one of those yellow cars as far as I heard the plane had a rejected takeoff (rwy24) as result of a bird strike (Engine No# 2). It was about the taxi back to its gate. When near the E buffer 2 tires busted on the left main gear. Probably due to hot brakes. With pieces rubber laying all around allong on taxiway A. (My job to clean that up hehe) Not 100% sure but that is what I could make up from what I heard.

Thanks Johan

@ rObbert_ : I'm not sure, because exif data shows 12:05, while a post in the EHAM 15-07-09 topic is a confirmation of what happened, posted at 11:10, so take-off was at 11:05 then. But the time, integrated in my camera, is correct as i checked it yesterday. So that would mean that 12:05 is correct. Can you follow it...? :P :?

Hey, i was in the KLM 744 the first one after the Delta.

I was at the right side of the aircraft and saw the delta speeding at the runway, flames came out off eng.#2 and i saw the aborted take off.

Didn't know that the tires burst.

Anyway, it was 12.05 and the birdstrike causes a extra delay for 10 minutes cause off a runway check while we are allready lined up.

In a movie of the take off i can see the delta taxi back to the gates.

Grtz
