JOJO AAR track

Post by Paveway »

Hi all,

In the past (and maybe still) many fighter aircraft did perform air-air refueling practice in the JOJO track with mainly Mildenhall tankers.
Does anyone know whether the JOJO refueling track is still often used? I see hardly any logs on the internet...

Thanks for any info.

hello,

JOJO-track is still in use . Most of the time indeed by Mildenhall tankers refueling BAF F-16's. (callsigns Quid 66 and BAFxxx).
In the wintermonths this is often in the evening.
Also used by NATO E-3's refueled by ANG KC-135's (NATOxx and ESSO 75 /76).
AAR Monitor frequency is 371.500 (Lippe radar) if I am correct.
Boomer freq varies.

greetings

Indeed most of the time the JOJO track is occupied by BAF F-16's (especially in wintertime evenings).
The AAR Monitor frequency 371.500 (Lippe radar) is correct. I also read on the internet that sometimes 336.900 is used as monitor frequency but I cannot confirm that (yet).
As far as I remember most of the time 299.600 was used as boomer frequency, but of course alternatives are possible.

Thanks!

Richard
