Sorry I wasn't able to post his log before.
On the way back from Fairford we decided to see if there where any gliders active at Weelde. We were not disappointed.
6 G103s where active. Unfortunately one managed to stay up all the time we were there and could not be read. The five identified where:
PL-94, PL-88, PL92, PL-87 and PL-96. This last one causes me some problems. When putting the logs from the book into the database, I couldn't find any info on this one. As a friend of my made some pics of the gliders, I had him confirm that PL-96 is a correct reading.
So is this a brand new one, or did I miss something in my search.
If someone can help me on the sixth unidentified G103 it would be welcome

Last year I had a visit at Goetsenhoven, and then I was told they were going to get a new glider soon. This could well be the one, although I find it strange that it hasn't been reported via Baha.be yet.

Afgelopen maandag 24 augustus ben ik ff bij Weelde wezen kijken. Ze vlogen zeer goed:
1 zwever stond in de hangaar die ik netjes van alle kanten heb mogen platen.
Hier komen de nummertjes;
PL30, 42, 71, 72, 86, 87, 88, 92, 94, 95 en 96. PL71 stond in de hangaar, de rest vloog. totaal 11 zwevers,

Ben je zeker van PL72? Deze is een tijdje geleden civiel geworden, als het goed is. En weet je of PL96, net als 92/94/95 een Grob 103A is? Dit is de nieuwste toevoeging aan de Air Cadets vloot..

Ik zie op de lijst PL30 wfu, maar die heb ik afgelopen maandag gewoon zien vliegen/zweven en photoproof.

Interesting, this one (PL72) hasn't been seen for years, and I have "to OO-xxx" in my notes. A quick search on the internet gives OO-YTV, registered 22-6-2005. See:

The four "new" ships:

- PL-72 - Grob G 102 Astir CS Jeans - purchased in Germany on 07/11/2008 - c/n 2122 - ex: D-2532. This glider has taken over the registration of the PL-72 n°1 a Grob G 102 Standard Astir III wfu and sold in 2005
- PL-73 - Grob G 102 Astir CS Jeans - purchased in Germany on 19/09/2008 - c/n 2050 - ex: D-3889. This glider has taken over the registration of the PL-73 n°1 a Centrair C 101A Pégase wfu and sold in 2005

These two gliders replaced the two G 102 Astir CS Jeans PL-76 & PL-77 written off in 2008. The PL-76 was damaged beyond economical repair during a field-landing near Bertrix AB on August 15th, 2008. Crudely repaired the PL-76 wreck will be used by the RBAC as a static recruiting display object. The PL-77 was destroyed in a crash landing at Weelde AB on April 3rd, 2008.

- PL-96 - Grob G 103 Twin Astir II - purchased in the NL on 19/11/2008 - c/n 3526 - ex: PH-1195
- PL-97 - Grob G103A Twin Astir II Acro - purchased in the UK on 01/07/2009 - c/n 33961-K-194 - ex: RAF ZE612/R71 BGA3064; G-DEYS

These two gliders were purchased as replacement aircraft in the framework of the soon withdrawal from use of the four remaining first generation G 103 Twin Astir I (PL-81/-84/-85 & -86).
