RAF Leuchars Air Show 12 September

The RAF Leuchars Air Show will be held on the 12th of september this year. One of the UK's best Airshows, they are usially able to attracked a good variaty of aircraft. This year the airshow will co-incide with the disbandment of 43(R) Squadron at Leuchars.

Shaping up to be a good show!!!

Hi,

Just a small thing, 43 sqdn formally disbanded on 13th July with the last four aircraft on a flypast at 11.00 am that day. The last operational flight was completed by the OC 43 sq on 9th July.

There remain aircraft in 43 sq mks at Leuchars but the ramp has been empty all week and has not looked this way for many years. It is expected that the more serviceable aircraft will be transferring to 111 sq as are most of the personnel on 20th July. The less serviceable aircraft will be RTP at Leeming and the rate of aircraft doing so will increase from currently 1-2 a week.
