Gr. RonThe famous aerial stunt team-Red Arrows Red Arrows-visit Gibraltar in September after 16 years without coming to the Rock. The last time they came was in 1993. British forces in Gibraltar on Wednesday confirmed the Gibraltar Chronicle newspaper that she would come a detachment of nine Red Arrow aircraft that will fly on 19 September for the commemoration of the Battle of Britain in Gibraltar.
In addition, for this weekend are scheduled many events where other aircraft involved, among which there are four Hawks, two Typhoons, Tornados over 20 and four Harriers. Many of them will fly this weekend and is expected to all do the occasion of the commemoration of the battle.
The Red Arrows will fly in the Rock on Friday 18th at 17:00 and will give an exhibition on the morning of Saturday. This team is an ambassador of both the Royal Air Force as the UK and was officially founded in 1965, completing over 4,000 performances in 53 countries.
This year will act abroad on three occasions and Gibraltar has been one of the sites chosen by the company to show their skills. Whoever carried out on Saturday the 19th at Europa Point start at eleven in the morning and last about twenty minutes, where people go to the lighthouse have the best chance to watch the air show.
