A340missing middle Landing gear

Post by js51672 »

Hi.
Looking at JP.net
I found a picture of a Lufthansa A340 with missing the middle main landing gear.

What's that?
http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6419556" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Is that allowed?

True, possible there are problems with the center gear and by leaving him up combined with the weight restrictions the operations can resume as normal; otherwise the plane can be out for quite some time :wink:

This center gear issue also appeared on a SU MD-11F (early 2008 while visiting AMS for maintenance)
