Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Indian Jaguars

Post by lazyweasel »

At the start of the year I travelled to India. Here's a few images of one of the types I travelled to see. The article can be found in the latest issue of AIR International

That is stunning. We don't see Indian military reports at Schiphol. Actually this is the first time for me...

 Nice actionphotos from a part of the world we don't get to see many topics of here at Scramble!!!! 8) Although I must say the technical quality of these photos makes them look a bit like not-too-good slide scans... (Or did you downgrade the quality on purpose, to keep them from being "borrowed" by other people?)

Best regards, and keep 'm coming! Very welcome reports!!

Unfortunately when you crunch a 16.7MP 50Mb TIFF file down to an 800x533 pixel 150Kb JPEG the result is simply not as good as the original.

Great subject and nice shots! Always good to see some exotics :)

I think that the comment from Stephan was about the colour, that looks a bit brownish on my screen.

Images 3 and 7 were shot late in the afternoon hence the warmer appearance. Other than that the colours appear "normal" on my screen. Just had a quick look on my laptop and observed the same thing. Not sure how to explain the brown colour that you see.

Unfortunately I did not visit Pune which I believe is the home base of the radar-equipped maritime Jaguar IM

AFAIK, Pune is indeed the home of the IM's. So you did Ambala?
