Spotting tips for new runways at Hyakuri?

G'day all,

Does anyone have any special hints or tips about spotting at Hyakuri in Japan now that they have the new runway there?

I was there two years ago and have a fair idea of the area but was just interested in any suggestions if the new runway has changed anything.

Hi there,

Two weeks ago only the new runway was used, which is VERY close to the fence. You will need a stepladder for shots of aircraft on the runway. For take off shots you do not need a ladder. The Scramble airfield guide shows all the good spots.
