New airfield ! Venlo Traffic Port 31-10-2009

New airfield ! Venlo Traffic Port 31-10-2009

Today I was driving my car when I noticed some flying activities on a construction site. After getting my camera at home I went back.

It seemed that today a new airfield was opened in Venlo. This airfield is situated near industrial area "Trade Port" in a part of Venlo called Blerick. The new airfield will be used by Micro Light Aircraft (MLA) and will replace the airfield in Grubbenvorst. The airfield is officialy situated in Maasbree, but is also close to Blerick and Sevenum. The name of this new airport is "Traffic Port". Besides two hangars the airfield had a paved runway. At this moment a part of the new airfield is still in use a a temporarly truck parking. In the future this part will be turned into a traffic safety center. I don't know if the airfield allready has an ICAO code.

Here some pictures I made today. Itwas allready late in the afternoon, so the sun wasn't there when I needed it :D
