During the Hellenic Air Force Open Days at Nea Anghialos, an F-16C cockpit was seen preserved in the hangar near the static. It looked absolutely original (and well used) and carried the serial "88-0110" where it should be on "the real thing": the canopy frame and the data block. If this cockpit really is from 88-0110, this would indicate that the first F-16C-30 delivered to the HAF (to Nea's 330 Mira) is no longer with us ... in one piece! This would make 88-0111 (seen in the static at Tanagra) the oldest remaining Greek F-16C to date. Can anyone from the Greek spotting community confirm/deny?

Scramble database has 110 "last noted" in april of 2008; that seems to preclude an earlier sighting of the cockpit prior to that date; if you saw it in 2007 you might be right, but it DID look awfully convincing. And, if it is not the real "110", what airframe DOES it belong to?? Ahh, these questions....
