Does any one of you have spotting info of Seeb Int. ,the airfields around Muscat, aviation in Muscat museums, preserved aircraft, info of the stored BAC One-Elevens etc.
Hope to hear from you when time permits.

First of all, note that in Arabic countries, nobody knows or appreciates the hobby of spotting.
The airport of Muscat is not only civil, but also houses military and royal aircraft.
Therefore it's not advisable to go there, you'll get arrested before you can explain anything. The police does rarely speak english, and even arabic speaking people have had problems explaining what they were doing.
If you want a spot at Muscat Int'l that is a bit hidden, go for the parking area of the Oman International Exhibition Center.
It can be reached by taking the airport exit and heading towards Ghala.
Take the Ghala exit (by keeping right) and you'll get onto Al Maarid Street. Follow this road until you see the large parking area on you right hand side.
From here you can see aircraft landing on 26 or taking off from 08.
You'll need a good zoom-lens though.
Another area where you can go is the north-eastern far side of the airport.
It is in the vicinity of Al Anwar Street.
To get here when driving from the city of Muscat, take the last exit before the airport. This is the Shell petrol station. Drive through the petrol station and keep right.
Look for a street where you won't be seen too much and watch the aircraft landing on 26 above you.
The sea-side of the airport is not interesting, because the airport is too far away to read anything.
