Gents,
Stored KLM F100 PH-KLI has LI-017 on its nose door.
What's the purpose of '017' , .........fleet number?

Nice thinking but not true. It is the effectifity code of the maintenance manual. You can only maintain this aircraft according the manual with effectifity code 017RobertMB wrote:Hallo,
Fleetnumber and also often called "maintenance number"... Starting with the last 2 marks of the registation, followed by three digits indicating (in sequence) the "place in the row" of a type. Just 3 for example: Boeing 777-206ER PH-BQA has "QA-001" on it's nosewheeldoors and it's the first and PH-BQC with "QC-003" is the third 777 with KLM. Boeing 747-406 PH-BFA carries "FA-001" and it's the first 747-406 of the queue.
So your PH-KLI "LI-017" is KLM F100 #17...
