KLM adds 4th weekly B777-300ER AMS-Denpasar flight from 21 Jan 2010
Even before it re-launches direct B777-300ER flights to Bali via Singapore on 6 December, KLM has announced it will add a 4th weekly AMS – SIN – DPS frequency starting 21JAN10. The service will continue in the 2010 Summer season.
Lufthansa's Chinese partner Jade Cargo to introduce new 3x/weekly B747-400ERF service from AMS to Chengdu.
JADE Cargo and the Chengdu Municipality have agreed to open an international air cargo hub at Chengdu Airport. Jade will operate routes to Europe and the Middle East from the hub, thereby opening up western China to those markets.
Jade will operate three weekly flights using B747–400ER freighters on the route, which will fly Chengdu–Vienna–Amsterdam–Dubai–Chengdu.
It is foreseen that the NWA AOC (Aircarrier Operating Certificate) will seize to exist on 31.12.2009 as NWA airline operations are transferred to DELTA operations. All remaining NWA aircraft will receive stickers "operated by Delta", while the already repainted NWA aircraft will loose their stickers "Operated by NWA" as they become full DELTA aircraft.
AMS will loose its NWA flight numbers very soon thereafter, when all flights transfer to DELTA flight numbers.
From early December 2009 DELTA has expanded its codeshare agreement with KLM to the following routes beyond Amsterdam. Codeshare flight number ranges are in DL9000 series.

Per 31st January 2010, all NWA-flightnumbers will change into DAL-flightnumbers.
Starting this winter season (so allready going on). BMI Baby is reducing the flights between Manchester and Amsterdam from 12 times a week till now 6 times a week. So no more morning flights.

The introduction of this aircraft type means also a reduction from 5 to 4 weekly flights operating with the following schedule (local times)

Jade Cargo plans further increases in frequency of their B747-400ERF freighter flights China-AMS early in 2010:
Jade Cargo has a twice-weekly service on the Chengdu-Vienna-Amsterdam-Dubai-Chengdu route. It will increase the frequency to three-times weekly at the beginning of 2010.
KLM has announced the return of flight operations from AMS to Aruba, this will be achieved through the introduction of an intermediate stop on the existing non-stop AMS-CUR-AMS B747-400 flights.
