Turkey in June

I am going for a holiday in turkey in June 2010 planning to visit Bodrum Milas Airport for a couple of days photography. Will be staying at Didim near Altinkum, father in law has told me that there is a large army barracks nearby not sure if mil aircraft or not. Has anyone been there before and what are photography conditions at airport, police etc.
