In comparison with warm Costa Rica I have two shots taken in a wintry Castricum today.

1. A heron is flying overhead snow-covered ground before it is going to land.


2. The same heron after landing, keeping a watchful eye on the photographer.

Thanks, at the end the fish lost the battle and it did fit in the gull's stomach, except for one fin that is.



Gulls really like each other, sounds almost human.
