The airfield is already fenced
Those tiny fences won't hold against EU regulations.
Maybe a Fokker 60 for the collection?
The F60's are sold.
Rekkof = dead.
You could not have been more wrong, Rekkof is more alive then ever.

apart from the fact that we are going slightly off-topic again...

The suggestion above that one would eat all 9 pairs of shoes if Rekkof were ever to produce aircraft would make for double fun if it really DID come about: both Rekkof-aircraft AND the McSole in action ... :-)

I wouldn't count on Rekkof producing aircraft ever again.

As for the fences: even if they were 3 meters high, still no problem. As I said, more than enough room around the airfield to do some spotting :)

Start chewing, you might just be in time for the annoucement.

Don't think you missed anything.
Fokker didn't anounce it yet, guess they will when they see the time fit.

I won't be impressed by any announcement whatsoever. I will be impressed once the first Rekkof plane leaves the ground - which will never happen in my view.

I'm with Aviopic on this one. The odds that there will be a Rekkof plane is larger than the odds that there won't.
Just be patient.

PS. I've heard that shoes are more edible if they've been boiled. And pick a tasty sauce to go with it

Don't boil them to long... the soles might get sticky.....

On topic: The longer runway would be handy when there is an aircraft factory on your field. I guess the building of the factory will be anounced very soon (or are they building already??)

Can you elaborate on why you think this? There have been rumours since the demise of Fokker, but it never went beyond a cool looking website. I have been holding my breath for so long, I shouldn´t be alive anymore. At some point the market also seemed to be there, but at this moment the economic situation is not good and the market is shifting to higher capacity aircraft.

In other words, I am with evhest on this one, but wouldn´t mind to be proven wrong!

That is why I asked for anyone to elaborate. I have never seen anything tangible coming out of Rekkof, other than that website.
So don´t get me wrong, I would be delighted if we (the Netherlands) would be building serious planes again, I just don´t see it happening...

Well, I wasn't sure if my first remark wasn't that smart, so I added the Fokker 60 part...

Don't want to spoil things....

Talk to you later!

Cheers!
