T-O (do you have a real name?),

The spot Marien shows is not spot #8, but a different spot we found to make great landing shots at runway 10.

Haven't you guys had problems in the last spot? I see it's this place - it used to be quite open, but since Axalp 2006 (when some people managed to piss off the land owner), the military got a bit weary... Nowadays we normally have to stay just at the beginning of this small dirt road.
Sali Muflon,

No problem at all, just don't park your car near the barn.

As I was just playing with Photoshop and Lightroom again, some Meiringen shots passed my screen. Thought I'd share some with you..... I'll bet the snow is still there, so this kind of shots should still be possible for a few days / weeks to come.

Hope you like them.

Cheers,
Iwan

PS: Are the "whites" in this shot any better for the critics ?

Hi Iwan,

I like the last shot in particular, but I still think the snow is to white in the other pics, especially in the lower part of the second pic. Also, if you look at the white cross in the Swiss 'roundel' it just looks off - as in to white - to me.
Answers will be questioned.....

Hi Iwan,

Nice shots, the whites have improved a little, the first shot is the best (concerning the whites). The second one looks a little too white.

I quick look at the webcams at Meiringen and Brienz show the snow in the valley has disappeared by now :( I was there the 3rd week of February when there was still plenty of snow. The snow in your images do show a bit too light on my screen, but in my opinion it's about the aircraft and not the snow. I now know from own experience that it's not easy to get a good balance with snow pictures.

Can't see the problem in either of the two. Off-course some contrast in the snow is nice, but hey, snow is white, so can't see the problem in snow being too white. And the aircraft look good and those are the main subject.
