mystery C-32 (B757) in Halifax (CYHZ)

8 Feb 2010 apprx 17:30z
C-32B/B757 #24452

All white B757 with no markings except small black numbers 24452 and small USA
flag at lower rear fuselage. No N-numbers etc.

Landed at CYHZ Rwy 32, exited rwy, taxied down apron, taxied out to runway 32
departed. It did not stop, refuel, load cargo or pax.

Ground controller said they were using the call sign 'MET', out of McGuire AFB
(NJ) and bound for Gander (CYQX). He didn't make any comment to indicate he found it as interesting as I did.

(This was the afternoon following Superbowl 44.)

This is a USAF B757-23A registration 02-4452

According our database:

02-4452 C-32B 25493/523 227th SOF act 18feb04 mar09 as 24452

so an United States Air Force one.

Why is it a mystery?

It's a C-32B, with serial 02-4452 opetated by 227th SOF out to McGuire.
Saw this one at its homebase in 2005.

Hmmm.... No mystery?
Perhaps I'm wondering about the operation more than the aircraft itself.
Why the touch and go in CYHZ ? It wasn't a fuel stop, no pax/cargo.
Strange operation for "top-secret" type plane.

Or, maybe you guys are trying to tell me something..."these aren't the droids you're looking for"... I guess I didn't see anything.lol

Probably a training flight.

This C-32 and the others of that unit can't be that secret.They show on SBS.Their mission is "special VIP flights".They show up all over the world,including China(PRC).

Any real "black" airplane is not going to go anywhere near the PRC.
