Tac Blaze 01

Post by Hellfire »

Hi guys, first time poster here.
I am from Carlisle in North England, host to Tac Blaze for the past few years, and was wondering if anyone has heard anything about Tac Blaze 01 2010. I gather from the MoD website the following:

'22 Mar-1 April 2010 - EXERCISE TAC BLAZE 1 - This Exercise will take place in LFA 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, and night sectors 3BE, 3BW and 4AS. The Exercise will consist of 3 helicopters and will be conducted by the Royal Netherlands Air Force. '

I have followed the RNLAF deployments closely over the years, making a good friend who was formerly on 300sqn but has since moved on. I am hoping that Carlisle will be the main operating base for this deployment too, however there seems to be a lot more Low Flying Areas in use for this deployment.

Has anyone heard anything locally at Gilze?

Thanks
Edwin

Just a quick question on the exercise. I'm hearing that the Tac Blaze aircraft are departing Gilze Rijen on the friday and consist of 3x CH47 and 3xCougar. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks

Thanks for the info. I can read D-106, D-666, S-453, but the second cougar I can not read on the pictures. Anyone for this one? Are there 4 or 5 helicopters at Carlisle?
