Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

"Urban Strike" Marnewaard

Post by Elmar »

Hi all,

Last Tuesday I spend some hours (let's say the whole day....) at the army training area "Marnewaard/Marnehuizen" due to the combined landforces(korps commando troepen) and airforces (defensie helicopter commando) exercise..
Present were: D-101, D-667, Q-14 and Q-24 but unfortenatly the AH-64's were too high (except one time..)

Enojy these couple of pics.. C&C welcome..

Nice shots! Is this area open to the public, or did you get any 'special access'?

I did not get 'special access' it is a public area, except the village called "Marnehuizen" that's restricted area when the red flags are on... I did let the people know that I was in the area, was no problem but people and material from the KCT was out of the question...
But it is a hugh area.. Be prepared on walking....

It seems picture 4 (2 Chinooks with disembarking troops) was published in the Defensiekrant of 11 march 2010.
