That's part of the issue yes.
But there are more reasons; sometimes I get the error while there hardly are any visitors.
And each day you get those errors exactly at 12:00 and 24:00 CET, to the second. I know spotters are punctual, but each day at the same time..... My best guess is that some job runs on the server somewhere at those times, but the provider says they don't know anything about it.
You really got to do something about this error. It's bugging me this all afternoon.
It seems to me this is not a good advertisment for the scramble-site!
Got the message again 1 or 2 minutes ago when I tried to click on the topic about this in the Praethuys section. . But it is coming along all afternoon today.

Chaps, the final solution to this is to move the complete message board to another server (with another provider). We are working towards that, but it will likely take a few months more. Meanwhile, please bear with us.
The last message is known and thats no problem at all. But as said before, the last day it looks worse.
That's why it's pointed out now.
The 'normal' error message are kwown to most of the people.
It's NOT only the forum but the website as well. Wanted to check Airfield Guide .. and received message it was not able to connect. Guess lot of stuff is connected with a database these days ...
So I guess we just have to wait and see ... hopefully everyone is patient.
Correct, that's the same server. We have asked the provider if anything has changed recently, as the past few days the situation has deteriorated considerably. Meanwhile, we probably still need several months to 'get out of here'.
The change announced on http://www.scramble.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=61453" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has now been implemented.
Please let me know in that thread (or by PM) anything you notice about the performance of this message board, the bad but also the good!
