Stinson AT-19 Reliant nose-stand at Delden (Twente) NL

Post by Bauke »

Today on a grasstrip near Delden, the Netherlands a historical aircraft (a Stinson AT-19 Reliant) made a nosestand. The aircraft at first made a circuit to have a look at the grassstrip. Whilst landing something went wrong. The grassstrip seemed to be too short or too wet. At the end of the landing frim brakes were applied and (sad enough) this resulted in a nosestand. The aircraft involved was the ‘FB735’ (N1943S) een Stinson AT-19 Reliant. Regards, Bauke Post

See the flypast forum for my pictures during the exiting landing.

The Stinson visited Teuge yesterday, so there wasn't very much damage!

In fact there was no damage at all!
Because of the rain the ground was very soft and while breaking the wheels dug in.
