Hallo All,

I may go this year to Kecskemet but I was wondering how the conditions are to take pictures during the airshow?. I mean the position of the sun and the position of the crowd becasue I saw a movie on youtube where there is a large fence in front of the crowd and behind that fence was a blastwall located. Due to this fence and blast wall you could not see the take-off let instead take pictures. Is this correct? I hope not because the show looks promising

Hi Nielis,

you're correct there was a large fence all along the taxiway up to the blast wall. However at one certain location (during the '07 and '08 shows this was next to Aero Vodochy's stand) you could take photos of the aircrafts taxiing down from the runway. Right next to the static area (and the QRA shelters) there's a small hill from which you could take photos like these: http://www.freeweb.hu/bakosonline/kecsk ... CF3267.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

During the '08 show there was a special truck arranged for photographers that was put in front of the fence downwards, close to the static area.

Should any of us not find a perfect photo location, you can always do like the fellow "colleague" did. :)

thank you for your reply. Is it not possible that you contact the authorities and ask them to put some lower fences in front of the crowd

Actually, people complained a lot on a Hungarian message board about the very high fences on the 2005 show, and on the next one in 2007, fences were a lot lower (1.60 m, just as on the last show in 2008). Not sure it had anything to do with the message borad, though...
