Last i heard is that they do have enough spare parts, in stock and from planes that have been stored.roberto wrote:Today the afternoon mission of the French and Turkish aircraft was cancelled because of the ash cloud.
It will take a while (2-3 weeks according a German source) before you will see some Phantoms in the air.
A few specialized technicians have to check each ejection seat (4 hours per seat) and first aircraft to be checked will be the Tornado's in Afghanistan, then some Tornado's in Germany, then QRA aircraft, then the rest of the F4's and finally the F4's at Leeuwarden.
And when they find a lot of damaged seats then they have the problem that there are hardly any spare parts for this component.
The Mirage are leaving within the next hour, about the Turkish F-16, nothing known yet!Serpentah wrote:Planning to go tomorrow to Wittmund.
If there is any info about the F16 and M2000 misions.
Yep, tomorrow 8 locals plus additional QRA are scheduled so far.....and 6 RTB from LWD too!Serpentah wrote:Phantoms are flying again really?
