Neuburg (ETSN) - 2010 MIL

Post by Piet Luijken »

Hello,

According to the JG74 webmaster and this article, part of JG74, including Eurofighters, has moved to Laage to train at this airbase.

Only the QRA is active at Neuburg, with not so many flights, so it says.

Log 24-06-2010
After the excellent spottersday at Lechfeld, we visited the other airports around, including Neuburg.
Driving around this small airport revealed a PC-7 at the nortwestern visitors ramp.
On the southside, the Swiss Hornets were parked in one of the shelter areas and visible from the outside.
Thereafter we positioned at the east runway side for the action to start.

Take-off around 1500lt:
A-929 PC-7(NC)
A-932 PC-7(NC)

J-5232 F/A-18D
J-5014 F/A-18C
J-5018 F/A-18C FlSt18 special tailmarkings
J-5009 F/A-18C

in shelter area J-5236 F/A-18D was parked.

At 1600lt a Tornado ECR made two touch and gos: 46+26 of JBG32

recovery was around 1615lt, together with some civil Learjets.
