You're not going to believe this....
Taken from
http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic. ... 28#p226428" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which is about Farnborough SBAC airshow, the one following up on RIAT...
Attended the Media preview yesterday.
The stand out military aircraft attending is the CATIC JF-17 Thunder, certainly the first time the aircraft has appeared in the "west"
Other flyers:
A400M, M346, C27J, Eurofighter (Both Alenia and RAF) F22, B52, F18, F16, C130J (USAF)
Static
C295, ATF42MP, 737AEWC, E2C, C17, Omega 707 (Suspect this is an error as its bring the F18's over)
For the civilians, A380, Sukhoi SSJ (latter in Business aircraft park for some reason) and 777 + 787. 787 dependant on test schedule should arrive Sunday before show and depart Tues/Weds
Don't know what days the
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JF-17_Thunder" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; should be present at Farnborough (only trade days? And I haven't seen any mention of it on the official Farnborough website yet...) but this would be a major coup!
And as this aircraft is to travel a long distance anyway RIAT could certainly benefit!
But of course: Seeing is believing
The reporter (
