Waddington Airshow 3-4 July participants etc...

Post by Stratofreighter »

Okay, it's official, the (probably) last flying display by a Nimrod R1 will be during the 2010 edition of the Waddington Airshow this 3-4 July.
See http://www.airshows.org.uk/2010/airshow ... eview.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or, if you prefer,
http://www.waddingtonairshow.co.uk/displays.asp?dID=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .

Military-wise there is (still :?: ) nothing really special to be seen at Waddington this year...

Any news regarding new participants?

Does anyone have information if the Vulcan XH558 will be ready on time and make it to Waddington?

Surprisingly no USAF participation in the flying display.

I assume that's your opinion ?

It's one of the rare moments to see a Nimrod or Tornado F3 or USAF E-3 on static.

Tell me the difference between a Tornado F3 in museum or on static. Oh, I see: The battle with hundreds of other spotters while taking pictures! :respect: (Not to mention the red Christmas tree decorations... :lol: )

Well first of all.... It's OPERATIONAL , museum makes this chance ( operational ) rare... However in that case it is "operational" in another role... :wink:
If you are in a museum, and have a bad timing ( or bad luck ). You can have yourself the same battle, with perhaps even more difficult people or backgrounds.

To my opinion it gives a bit of a negative swing to place the last line in the message from Stratofreighter. It could also be written down in other words, making it more clear to everyone, that it's a personal opinion. However no disrespekt to anyone!

Call me a ( censored ), but considering the total amount of Tornado F3's i have seen since august 94'. It's rather rare to me.So is a Nimrod , USAF E-3 and some others.
