let's hope those were not "lokkertjes" (fictive participants to lure folk to the show)
still static is looking better than airshow itself
keep it up Beauvechain !
"And than in the trees I heard a twig snap ... warning lights flashed on my map ... I opened my eyes and to my surprise ..."
That is correct. If you park further away (eg Tienen or Heverlee) and take the free shuttle bus service, parking is only 5 Euro per car. They are trying to discourage people from parking close the the base which has only limited access roads, instead opting for parkings near major traffic axes.
The Air force base of Beauvechain will open its door for the spotter on July 2nd, from 0900 Hr until 1800 Hr. You can enter the base via the gate P6. It’s a great pleasure to announce that you will have privileged access (via shuttle busses) to the Operational Zone in the north of the base. There will be two points providing food en drinks especially for the spotters.
Entering the base, you will receive a paper with all the directives; we thank you in advance for your kind cooperation.
I go to the Beauvechain airbase at the 3 juli. Where i can parking my car? I dont have the ticket to parking place on the airfield. Can i buy entree ticket 3 juli by the entree gates ?

Chrisse wrote:As for public transport, there is an additional parking near Ottignies trainstation, which now looks like the best option by public trainsport. Ottignies can be reached from both Brussels (roughly 35 minutes from Brussels Central) and Leuven (about 40 minutes).
Maybe you can read what is written already before you post an already answered question?

The French part of the website now specifically states that there will be shuttle busses running from Ottignies trainstation. Do try to get to Ottignies by train, not with the very obscure bus instructions via Wavre of something as they list as options, unless you fancy being en route for the better part of the day.
