If You buy ticken before the event You will save circa 2 €/ticket, but if buy it at the gate You have to pay with 2€ more, so circa 15€/ticket... You can choose... :fadein:

Hey guys,

I will arrive in Kecskemet on Friday by car and after reading here that
shooting arrivals and rehearsals is possible I wonder where to park my car.

I was told to go where the other spotters are but for example, if Runway 30 is in use
I would follow the road '44' - but there are no parking possibilities near the treshold - at
least I can't find any on Google Maps.

Maybe someone could provide some info on where to go exactly for the arrival days/offbase viewing.

Thanks!

Philip

Next to the road 44 is a big field in front of the runway 30, and there You can parking. Almost in front of the entrance of the AB is a little street (from the city center on Your righten side) , where I think You will able to parking with Your car. On that street when You turned in must be after some meter places for parking... ;) If somebody go to the another point of the runway, so from road 441, there is there too a big place to partking and spotting...;)

The arrivals and the training begins in all year on Thursday. Some aircraft arrive on Wednesday, for example the Turkish Stars, but lot of important solo and formation arrives on Thursday and Friday, and take a practise on either day...so on thursday or friday...

Some aircraft may arrive as soon as wednesday, but most of them are expected to land on either thursday or friday.

Yes it is save to buy an online ticket. I just ordered an e-ticket, paid it with my creditcard en downloaded the ticket. No problems at all

Reading the 'event info' on the ticket confuses me a bit:
'bringing audiovisual equiment incl. photo cameras is prohibited. Taking photo's during the event is prohibited'
Is this normal procedure in Hungary?

There's an icon printed on the ticket mentioning an E-ticket quick gate.

No info about the E-ticket gate, I will try to ask someone...

About the "audiovisual" equipment being banned: absolutely no need to worry, this is only the official standard bulls... they have to put on the tickets. This will be my 6th visit to the Kecskemét show, and no such ban has ever been imposed.

However, it is oficially forbidden to take pictures of the base outside the fenced off area. Of course, no one can really check that... 8)

Not a big surprise, but still bad news: Greece has officially cancelled their participation.

Nobody is allowed to make pictures/videos of the airshow and selling it afterwards. That's all. Private equipment does not bother them, as long as you do not sell them on a grand scale.

If I remember well, taking photos of displayed aircrafts was allowed, however taking photos of military objects (etc.) not displayed for public was prohibited.

thanks for the explanation guys. That makes sense, so nothing to worry about.

I couldn't imagine that camera equipment would be confiscated at the gate :D

Does somebody know if using a scanner is allowed in Hungary?

Pretty great news... it seems, the Israelis have confirmed the F-16 and C-130.
