Italian Navy AV-8B+ crash

An Italian Navy AV-8B+ crashed yesterday in the Ionian sea on the way back to its home base at Grottaglie after a training mission. Pilot ejected safely and was rescued by a fishing boat

Serial should be MM7221/1-15.

This crash jet sounds very much like one of the 2 MMI AV-8B at the Hyeres show last month.

It certainly is! Parked together with the MM7217 on the static!
