Vliegtuig bij brandweerspel in pretpark

IK ben voor mijn werk in China geweest en heb daar een paar pretparken bezocht.
In 1 van die parken hadden ze een spel waar men met pompwagens naar een vliegtuig moest rijden om de 'brand' te blussen.
Wat mij opviel was de maatschappij naam op het toestel.
Ik meen een foto van een KLM toestel in deze kleur te hebben gezien in een vitrine in het Aviodrome maar ben er niet zeker van.

Anyway, this airplane looks like it's been cut op. Judging by the 'cracks' in the fuselage it doesn't seem to have crashed, the shape looks very weird...

Curious to know the story behind this one...

Only the C-47 series was referred to as the Dakota. Neither the DC-2 or the DC-3 received a name, although requisitioned DC-3s operated by the military did receive the Dakota name.

I think most people refer to the DC-3 as 'Dakota' as well. Anyway, we all mean the same aircraft...

Only the C-47 series was referred to as the Dakota. Neither the DC-2 or the DC-3 received a name, although requisitioned DC-3s operated by the military did receive the Dakota name.

And, to be fully complete: Dakota was the RAF name for the C-47. The USAAF called it the Skytrain.

Hmm, now that I'm seeing the other 'parts' I also doubt that it is/was a real airplane.

But why would they paint KLM on the fuselage?

There's also a problem with the lettering: when the aircraft had the big K*L*M titles on the nose, the text under the port (left hand side) fuselage windows was NOT "Royal Dutch Air Lines", but "Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij". Furthermore, whenever the text appeared in english (NOT in this scheme) it read "Airlines" instead of "Air Lines"

Vreemd ... want voor een DC-2 (PH-AJU) kwam ik wel de title "ROYAL DUTCH AIR LINES" tegen ... dus niet Airlines.

Ik vind het gebruik van een wrak op deze manier wel heel erg origineel.
of het een DC-2, 3 of look-alike-bird is, doet er niets aan af.

en : leuke foto's! Waar is dit vrolijke pretpark? denk dat er nogal beaucoup hollanders ineens heen willen.

De letters K.L.M. op de cockpit zijn een tikkie aan de grote kant voor de KLM DC-2 tijd. (gecheckt adhv de gebruikte standaard maten op foto's uit 1935-1940) belangrijker: kijk eens heel goed naar de aanzet van de staart. hoort dat bij een KLM DC-2?
