Post by Withnail »

Hello,

We're planning a trip to Reims next tuesday and wednesday. I've read that there are two exercises going on in France during these days; exercise CASEX P6-2010 and exercise Belote 2010-02. Does anyone know if this means some extra flying and/or visitors on Reims?

Thanks,

Gerrit

Anyone that was at Reims today (5/08/2010)?

This afternoon around 16h30, 2 Mirage F-1CR passed over Koksijde at 1000ft from east to West. One was 610/112-CI, but the other one I couldn't identify. Callsign was FAF7832. Anyone knows the other one?

Greetings Wim

Today, 19th of August we saw:

Mirage F1B: 517/112-SC, 518/112-SR
Mirage F1CR: 606/112-CU, 610/112-CI, 616/112-NX, 646/112-NW, 649/112-CR
Mirage F1CT: 278/112-SG
Rafale B: .../113-IZ
Alpha Jet E: E140/102-FA
SA342M: 3853/GNF, this one left at 09.30. Another one came in the afternoon. Couldn't read it due to distance.

Can anyone tell me the serial of the very new Rafale and maybe the afternoon Gazelle?

Is Reims completly closed June this year???
I was planning to pay the base a visit in July, because I'm on vacation nearby, but don't want to go there for nothing.

On some French forums, they even say that by the end of April, the Mirage F-1's will be gone already...

The location was well described on their website, as well as on a touristic website of Reims, but an extensive search last year - few weeks after the event - led to nothing so we must assume she has been removed and current location is unknown (to me at least)
