Hello,

Sails this vessel from Nijmwegen to Zaltbommel, Gorinchem to Rotterdam?
So at the Waal and Merwede?

As far as I know the normal route would be along the river Waal.

@ René: That will probably be the course of the ship.

@ Jeroen: You are on station, already?

Anyone along the river? I will leave in a hour. If I can get on scramble.nl with my BB I hope to log in and log the positions (and serials ;-) if we find it.....

ik zie op http://www.marinetraffic.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; maar 1 cargovaartuig zonder naam (lang nummertje). Zit nu een paar kilometer voor de Waalbrug Nijmegen. Zou ut m zijn?

Vanaf D'Waard ri Nijmegen zou je tegenkomen;
Wilson Ruhr
River Ambassador
Ocean
Rapid Art

Thanks Marijn,

The Vera did no came from Germany. You can klik on "show vessels track" and you can see it came
from somewhere south of the English channel between France and the UK.
There must be another vessel with the choppers out there.

Otger

Just came back from a nerve wrecking wait along the Rhine between Rees & Emmerich. No joy between 19.10-21:15.

Well, you will also have to take into your calculations the current of the rivers. I don't how fast that is at the moment but if a ship travels 15 k/m an hour, even 2 or 3 km for the current can make a big difference!

Ship should pass the Kreekraksluizen of the Schelde Rijn Kanaal at Rilland-Bath tomorrow if it heads towards Antwerp after visiting Rotterdam. Might be an option to catch 'em.

Well, yesterday another unsuccesfull evening of trying to catch the KY ARNG Blackhawks. We received first information the ship already passed Emmerich at 18:30 so we turned around and headed for Tiel driving along the Waal. But at 22:00 we received the last information as earlier indicated that the ship passed near Zaltbommel at 18:00/18:30. Sorry I've not been able to make a more accurate prediction. Next time I'll try it to be more precise.

It anyone heads for Antwerp, please let us know if the ship can be seen. It should be there in the evening for unloading tomorrow morning.

was yesterday in Cologne at the river Rhine from 08:00 LT and nothing see.
From Worms to Cologne are 249 Rhine km, with a spreed from 15 km/h the ship must passed Cologne arround 09:00/10:00 LT. I was at the river at 08:00 LT and nothing see, so i think the ship is faster on tour than 15 km/h.
