The second a/w DC8-62F in Chris Delvaux report OST 08-08-2010 should be the former Silkway 4K-AZ25 cn 45920 / 319 (ex LION's LX-TLC). Also check http://www.wiloo.be" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hi all,

Starting 13th of September, I spend a 2 week vacation near Ostend. I have a couple of questions:

- What day is the best day of spotting in terms of quantity?
- If you look on the map of Ostend on Scramble's Where to go-guide page can spot 5 be reached by car?

Thnx in advance :respect:

Hello,

For the best day of spotting you can always check teletekst in your hotel. ( P383 on teletekst) and mostly are some flights for the day afterwards already mentioned.

Spot 5 can be reached by car. Just drive on that road untill you can't go any further.

Greetings,
All my posted timings are local !

Teletext only gives ( i believe ) info on passenger flights. Not on cargoflights, which seem to make up for the most activity. I believe there is also a local Ostend airport forum. Someone more info ?

Teletext p383 ( VRT / Canvas ) mention cargoflights, not too many nowadays. Do check http://www.ebos-spotting.be" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and for loads of movements please check
http://www.replo.be/Quality%20Airport/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Have a nice vacation. As you will be in the area for two weeks maybe this is a good idea. Sometimes spotters from Ostend do this for a day-trip.
Board the Ferry in the morning from the Port of Ostend to Ramsgate Docks ( UK ), then they take a cab or bus to Manston Airport returning to belgium
in the evening. I got no recent info about the ferries but you could google a bit.

After I looked on teletext and the forum of EBOS, can I can conclude that the Sunday is the best option?
