Trips to the USA are not all glory, glory, haleluya.............but agressors can save the day.
During a totally waisted trip to southwest USA we unexpectedly ended up in Yuma and were treated on a short visit to VMFAT-401. A short base visit and some "over-the-fence" photography provided us with a nice selection of F-5E's en and F-5N's in adversary colors. If only regular fighters from regular squadrons would adapt these kind of colors, the world of aviation photography would be a better place to do your hobby in.
If you like exciting colors, beautiful aircraft, a buzzing airbase and great photo opportunities, Nyutabaru, Japan is the place to be. Flight ops from dusk till dawn with smoking Phantoms and agressor Eagles, plus a bunch of T-4's and visiting aircraft as a bonus every day. Too bad it's about 15.000 km away from where I usually park my car.
'Nuf said, here are some photos.
