24 Oct. Military Review at JGSDF Asaka. Invitee only, but you will be able to see
the fly-bys(usually around 1130-1150am) at the reiver-side, which is about
10 km North of the base.

20　May. － 3 Jun. ”Senkyo　2010” at JASDF Chitose and JASDF Misawa, attend F-2 and F-15 sqn.s. except the 305 sqn..
It is the annual air combat competition of the JASDF.
It is indeed " Koku-Sotai-Sengi-Kyogikai" in japanese, but we(Japanese enthusiasts) call it to shorten as "Sen-Kyo".

The 305sqn. is now go to Alaska, U.S.A., for the air to air refueling traing until May 22.

I'll tell you the photo situation of Gifu O.H. today.(Answer for my PM)

You will be able to take photos in good light at these point around Gifu A.B.;
Please check the GoogleEarth.

P1 : 35-23-50.53N, 136-51-26.26E, North side of the R/W., Public area.
It becomes good light only when the a/c turns its nose from West to North in the morning
(by11:00am), use 400-500mm lens.

P2 : 35-23-36.61N, 136-51-05.33E, South side of the R/W.
Northeast corner of the public area. Good light all the day long. use 300-500mm lens.

P3 : 35-23-18.76N, 136-51-57.18E, Near the Aviation Museum.
Good point to take the demo-flight(fly-pass and turn) by 400-600mm lens.
You cannot see T/O and L/D.

South Gate : 35-23-21.24N, 136-51-48.88E, opens only open house day.

BS1 : 35-23-55.40N, 136-51-49.37E, Shuttle bus stop at the North side.
The bus runs very frequently, but stops during the take-off.
200-250JPY/ride.

BS2 : 35-23-30.56N, 136-51-04.47E, Shuttle bus stop at the South side.

BS3 : 35-23-22.45N, 136-51-59.04E, Shuttle bus stop for the South Gate.

In Japan, it is the "Day of the sky(Sora no hi)" on sep.21, and they have a lot of aviational events at the civil airports around the day...
There will be some static show (mainly light planes, Governmental helicopter, and sometimes JSDF A/Cs).
