Pisa (LIRP/PSA) - 2010 MIL

Post by nhoogenboom »

Seen on 01-09-2010:

Luckily all 11 C-27J's of the 98° Gruppo were at home, two where flying later on:

C-27J:
MM62214/46-84
MM62215/46-80
MM62217/46-81
MM62218/46-82
MM62220/46-83
MM62221/46-85
MM62222/46-86
MM62223/46-88
MM62224/46-89
MM62225/46-90
MM62250/46-91

It was very difficult to read the C-130's due to heatwaves (almost 30°C ). Luckily I could ID a few:
C-130J:
MM62174/46-40
+4 unread
C-130J-30:
MM62187/46-53
MM62189/46-55 (flying)
MM62191/46-57
MM62192/46-58
+1 unread

+2 C-130J(-30) in hangar

Almost all stored G222 left Pisa. Only one present at the storage area in the north east:
MM62121/RS-46 (fuselage only)

Near the C-27J platform another G.222TCM (MM62110/46-81)is stored, together with a preserved G-119G (MM53-3200/46-38).

Guardia di Finanza:
AB412HP MM81445/GF-203

visitor:
NH500MC MM81062/GF-104

Nice log Niels!!

You were indeed very lucky to find all C-27s at home. Last you I only saw three, of which I only read one.
Did you try to read the C-130s from the bridge near the landingarea?? From there I read eight of them last year.

Do you have any shots??

Best regards Rob.

Niels are you sure about these? MM62189 is a Hercules serial.
During a basevisit last june I noted:

G222TCM MM62110/46-81
C-119G M53-3200/46-38

Oops my bad..... copied it incorrectly from my notes. I think I need glasses.

@Rob: yes I tried to read them from the bridge, but all serials were dancing in the heat.
