The decision has been made today: Israel will order 20 F-35A Joint Strike Fighters. Additional order are expected in the future, since Israel wants 75 to 100 JSF.
The order is the third export order for Lockheed Martin after Australia ordered 14 F-35A and Canada decided to purchase 65 F-35A. (plus purchases of 4 test aircraft for the Netherlands and the UK).
