In September there will be another AAD which will be held from the 21st to the 25th of September at AFB Ysterplaat. (http://www.aadexpo.co.za/)
So far there is no update of the participants on the official website, so I was wondering if there are others that know more on participants to the show?
Another update from the offical site.

Should be an interesting formation with the PC-7's as they are expecting 25 to do a "90" formation.
Unfortunately the Pakistan participants are taken from the list.
Spend the day at AAD 2010 and it was a very good show. Still trading days, so wondering around was allowed. They have a small static display of the SAAF musuem and also the current planes and helicopters. Then there is the flightline and in between the hangars are the civilian planes and helicopters (didn’t note those down). On the other side of the airfield (to the East) most of the helicopters can be found.
This is a list of the planes of today (bit in random order, all from pictures) between 10:00 and 14:30.

PC-7 21 taking part in a flyby in the shape of 90. 5 of which are part of the Silver Falcons. Of the 16 others I could read the following at this moment; 2011 – 2014 – 2015 – 2020 – 2037 – 2041 – 2057 - 2058
That is about it for the moment. Friday is the real airshow, so even more is expected for that.
Anyone for the missing PC-7's in the flyby??
Just got back from a very good day at Ysterplaat AB for AAD 2010. Sunny all day, so perfect conditions. Much better than Wednesday when it was only starting to get better late morning or yesterday when it was overcasted almost all day.
The US Navy or Marines did not turn up nor did the C-5 (which is at Cape Town IAP), but the rest of the show was pretty good. Unfortunately everything flew twice, so there could have been a lot more. But nevertheless it was a wonderfull show with a lot of things you will not see very often in Europe (4 Dakota’s in formation, Oryx with flares).
In addition to the things seen on Wednesday, today we could see extra;
C-130BZ 402 flightline
L-39 ZU-ROL / 39 flightline
Oryx 1202 flightline
C-47 6859 behind flightline (in 4 ship formation)
C-47 6885 flying only (in 4 ship formation)
C-47 6814 flying only (in 4 ship formation)
C-47 6854 flying only (in 4 ship formation)
C-47 6877 behind flightline
C-47 6837 behind flightline
C-47 6825 behind flightline (stored – without engines)
Small correction on the Harvard which I mentioned as being preserved, because the 7231 is actually still active as it did a small demo.
On the other side of the base the following helicopters could be found of which 9 participated in the “mini war”;
BK-117 380
BK-117 382
A-109 4012
A-109 4003
A-109 4017
A-109 4018
Oryx 1238
Oryx 1234
Oryx 1226
Oryx 1209
Oryx 1236
Oryx 1212
Oryx 1223
Oryx 1217
Again there was a flyby of PC-7’s in the shape of a big 90. What I could get so far are the following numbers; 2014 – 2015 – 2032 – 2033 – 2037 – 2041 – 2049- 2057 - 2058
That's it for now. Greetings from sunny South Africa.
Unfortunately not.
I could not get on the flightline itself for the K-8's.
And the A-109's were in between helicopters being refueled and taking off, so that was not possible.

Br Erik
Erik,
How about any other c/n's or unit markings? The report is nice, but would be better if actual units were read off. Did you get the c/n from the Namibia Police AS350? This is a new delivery.
Sorry, no c/n's.
Especially the Namibian Police one, which I only foundout coming back on Wednesday that is was newly delivered. And it was gone home on Friday when I visited again for the public day.
Regarding the units, I will work on that coming week when I will go through all my pictures at home. Almost all numbers are read from pictures, so I hope I can do the same with the units. (will be continued)
I returned this morning from CPT after 3 weeks of vacation in South Africa and Namibia. Maybe i can help with squadrons from my pictures. I was thursday afternoon and all friday at Ysterplaat for the Airshow
Also part of AAD 2010 were the 6 Navy ships in the harbor of Waterfront. 2 South African, 3 Indian Navy and 1 Brazilian Navy ships were over there. On board the 3 Indian ships were 2 Sea Kings and 1 Chetak. On the Brazilian ship there was a lynx..................
