ASEM 8 Meeting at Brussels 4-5 October

Post by michel N »

4 and 5 october, the ASEM 8 meeting is being held in Brussels. Expected are:
Japan AF B.747
Brunei (sultan) B.747?
South Korea B.747 (their Air Force One)
Pakistan AF A.310
China B.747 (civil)

credit Luchtzak

For the previous ASEM meeting in Helsinki lots of other government/airforce planes from Asia and Europe visited, so it might be worth visiting Brussels next week.

regards,

michel

Guess exact times will not be availble due to securtiy.
If you look at the program on http://www.asem8.be/program-details
it looks like everyone must arrive on sunday .
The opening on the other hand is only on the 4th at 11.00, so just go two days :?

Hi

The wind on Sunday will be south.
I think most properly the will use runway 25L or 25R.
A couple off years ago on Sunday runway 25L
was closed on this day between 6:00 and 17:00 o'clock.
Is that still so that on Sunday they only use one runway. ? That would be much easier to catch these planes if they will come on Sunday.

Thanks a lot

Grtz Melvin

Huge airplanes (like an 747) use almost always runway 25R when 25L is in use for landings. This because 25R is longer than runway 25L.

I remarked that currently runway 20 is in use for take-off's. So I think they use runway 20 or 25R for landings. But I guess that the 747's will arrive on 25R. Runway 20 is the shortest runway, 25R the longest. But this is only what I think
