(1) What lens would be most usefull? How many mm for fullframe?
(2) Is it possible to take a small tripod?
(3) I am thinking about bringing my 500/4 lens. But it is not possible to handhold it all day.
some answers:

1. for the parallel runway 200mm digitalframe (with crop), fullframe 300mm (minimum)
for the main runway 400mm digital or 600mm full (minimum)
2. yes
3. is possible

Hello Edward,

Do you (or any of the others) know the serials with the following group of a/c?
2 x Tornado
2 x Mirage 2000
4 x F-16
All of the above passed within a minute the Betuwe (between Arnhem and Nijmegen) at 12:10.
So arrival at Volkel must have been somewhere between 12:15 and 12:30.

Thank!
Jeroen

Thanks very much for the answers. So I guess I will bring the 500/4 with me, together with a light tripod. I can't handhold that lens all day. I was just afraid that it would be so crowded that using a tripod would be impossible.
Thanks!

There is, in my opinion, enough room for every one. Don't know if exactly 750 man attended last wednesday, but I didn't had the feeling it was crowded, you had enough room at the fence.

Let's not exaggerate...

4 to 5% is a regular sick leave percentage.
