Finmeccanica Said to Get $1.7 Bln Helicopter Order From Italy

Finmeccanica SpA's AgustaWestland unit received an order for 22 helicopters from Italy's Air Force, people familiar with the matter said.
The order is for 10 search-and-rescue AW139 helicopters and 12 combat AW101 helicopters, said the people, who asked not be named before an official announcement.
The order is valued at about 1.2 billion euros ($1.7 billion), one person said. The investment was approved on Oct. 13 by the Italian Senate's Defense Committee, according to the Italian Parliament's website. Finmeccanica declined to comment.
