Tarbes-Lourdes Airport / LFBT

Post by Shunn31 »

This Airport, I have discovered in 1999, is one of the largest Charter place in France due to catholic pilgrimmage flight. Since any year, this airport has a new contract for aircraft in end of life. An area has been created for storage and recyclable parts of aircraft...

In 2010, I have not participate at the any pilgrimmage flight but on the morning of November, 14 I have decided to go what happend at the storage area. This is I could get :)

Wow, a 772 in storage. Very sad to see. For my feeling the tripple is still not that old. After looking on airfleets.org, the aircraft is only 15 years old. To young to be stored... :bawl: ...

Nice pictures by the way (as always).

A VERY interesting set of airframes over there and VERY nice pictures. Keep them coming! As for the Mirage, you can see that it is a Mirage F.1. It has high-mounted wings (although not at present  ) as can be seen from the attachment points. Would love to know more of that one  .
